"Matrescence": The Developmental Phase of Motherhood

Introductory course looking into Dr. Aurelie Athan's revival and articulation of "matrescence," or the developmental phase of motherhood, and how it has been added to by clinicians and scholars as wide-ranging as neurobiology to advertising.

 

ACCESS BEGINS DECEMBER 15th. SUPPORT LIMITED DUE TO MATERNITY LEAVE THROUGH MARCH 1ST.

 

What you'll get:

  • An overview of the theory of "matrescence", an emerging field of maternal health and wellness so you can reframe experiences in new motherhood from a strength-based and developmental perspective. 
  • An analysis of reaserach in each domain of Dr. Athan's holistic theory -- bio-psycho-social-economic-political-spiritual --  with recommended texts for future research. 
  • A certificate to demonstrate your knowledge about matrescence with your personal and professional community (upon 90% successful completion of each module quiz). 

 


 

You will have access for 200 days and I'll be available for questions related to this course and application of course content during that time.
